Location map

Ann is the most welcoming hostess you could wish to find, offering 4 star Bed & Breakfast accommodation in Penyclawdd Farmhouse. The farm is in a lovely location with great views and walks over the Skirrid and Bryn Arw Mountain.

There are two rooms; each has one double bed and one single. Both rooms have an en-suite shower room and a TV. There is a reduction in price if you stay more than one night.

Ann's big Welsh breakfast will set you up for the day, whether you are setting off to walk the hills, going off on a long cycle ride, or meandering up to the top of the Gaer, the local Roman hill fort, to look at the view. Ann will be happy to make packed lunches too.

Relax in the evenings in the large living room with TV and wood burning stove. The large garden is great for children to play in, or for you to sit and enjoy the view. Ann always welcomes help when she has to feed the orphan lambs!

The Skirrid Inn is an easy walk for your evening meal. The Crown at Pantygelli is a short drive or a walk over the Bryn Arw mountain. Try walking over the mountain at night by the light of the full moon!

Safe lock-up for bicycles.

Cot and high chair available for children.

P.S. Penyclawdd Farm is at the bottom of the glaciated Llanthony Valley on a terminal moraine, and is of great scientific interest. This is where the farm gets its name - Top of the Embankment.
