Court Farm's mediaeval wing of the farmhouse adjoins the 12th Century
Llanthony Priory and would have been the home of the Prior himself. It is a
lovely and exceptional location in the famous Llanthony Valley.
There are views to enjoy from every window. The surrounding mountains beckon
you to explore! Step out of the ancient oak studded door straight into fields which
lead up to Offa's Dyke on the mountain ridge.
The 270 acre farm surrounds the Priory. Colin and Cordelia live in the farmhouse
and have plenty of local information and a weather forecast if you need it!
Spacious and elegant period rooms with many original features. The 18th century range with blazing fire in the grate makes the living room really
glow with warmth.
Large double bedroom and a family room with smart en-suite shower room. Second bathroom downstairs, with deep roll-top bath.
Large living room with big family table, and a well equipped kitchen.
The eggs are always fresh, and there are home-made beef burgers and pork
sausages for sale.
You can wander over to the bar in the vaulted cellar of the Priory for
a pint of real ale, and it is easy to find homemade food there if you don't want to
cook for yourself.
The famous border town on Hay-on-Wye is a half-hour car journey away over the
mountain, with breathtaking views from the Gospel Pass.
Poets and painters, writers and journalists, have all loved the Llanthony Valley from
Turner to Eric Gill.
